Warranty Terms & Conditions
Warranty period
Keller Keukens B.V. provides a 5-year full warranty covering the quality of the kitchen units and elements manufactured and supplied by Keller. The warranty takes effect from the date of delivery to the dealer.
The warranty period of 5 years applies to normal domestic usage, subject to the proper care and maintenance of the kitchen units and elements. For non-domestic usage, the warranty period is 1 year.
The warranty period on the kitchen units and elements is not extended when works have been carried out under the warranty and/or for units and elements supplied as replacements.
Submitting a report for service
Defects or flaws in the kitchen units must be reported to the dealer within four working weeks by sending an e-mail to dealers@kellerkeukens.nl. Reports must be accompanied by the order number and a clear photo(s) of the problem.
Contents and scope of the warranty
Keller Keukens issues its warranty to the Keller dealer making the sale. The warranty means that in the event of any flaws in the finish quality or proper performance of the item, the defective part will be repaired or replaced, at the discretion of Keller Keukens B.V., within a reasonable period of time by original or equivalent parts/equipment. The cost for doing so, including transport and call-out charges, will be borne by Keller Keukens. Assembly, travel and/or follow-up costs for the dealer to provide the service to the customer are not covered by the warranty.
The warranty will not apply if
A. The kitchen units and elements are damaged by third parties during transport or assembly.
B. The kitchen units and elements are not installed professionally.
C. Changes are made to the kitchen in which no original parts are used.
The warranty does not cover
A. Any materials not produced by Keller and materials supplied by third parties, such as kitchen appliances, worktops, tapware, accessories and tiles. For these items, the warranty of the individual manufacturer applies.
B. Damage resulting from:
▪ External forces, such as damage caused during transport after delivery by Keller or damage resulting
from knocks or bumps.
▪ Careless usage or maintenance.
▪ The use of abrasives and/or aggressive cleaning agents on the kitchen units.
▪ Normal wear and tear.
▪ Ageing and discolouration caused by the effects of smoke, light and sunlight.
▪ Defects caused by too great a load being placed on the kitchen units.
▪ Occurrence of heat in excess of the AMK norm of 70 degrees Celsius for cooking and baking appliances
and dishwashers.
▪ Excessive humidity/vapour. This might include leaks caused by the unprofessional installation of
pipework or not adhering to our cleaning instructions.
▪ Excessive vapour action caused by appliances, such as kettles and coffee machines, or by open
dishwashers or ovens.
▪ Damage caused by defective pipework (gas, water, electricity).
▪ Damage caused by poorly functioning, improperly installed or incorrectly operated equipment.
▪ Extreme changes in humidity, a relative humidity percentage that is persistently higher or lower than 45
to 70% in the space and/or surrounding area in question, or insufficient ventilation.
General
A. The fronts of units may warp as a result of insufficient ventilation, incorrect installation, defrosting water or trailing
power leads to the refrigerator or freezer. Warping permitted to factory standards is 2.5 mm/m1.
B. Across the wide range of raw materials used, colour, décor, and structure are matched as closely as possible. This means that 100% colour-matching is not technically feasible. Consequently, colour differences are unavoidable and claims against the warranty on these grounds are not possible.
C. Keller makes every attempt at all times to keep its products current and to continue improving them. Changes may be made to materials, finishes, and dimensions in order to ensure technical progress.
D. Where appropriate, Keller Keukens may decide to return the original part in question for quality improvement.
Keller arranges any deliveries and returns with the Keller dealer.
